interKanect indexes public government records for licensed professionals. These are the controls that keep it that way — built into the product, not written into a policy nobody reads.
License-Verified Access
Every account is verified against professional credentials — PI license, bar membership, or agency registration — before a single search runs. There is no self-serve access to the data.
Permissible Purpose & Immutable Audit
Every search requires a declared permissible purpose — enforcement of a specific judgment, active litigation, a documented client matter — recorded to an append-only audit log the database itself blocks from being edited or deleted. That trail is our customers' defense if a search is ever challenged.
Not a Consumer Reporting Agency
interKanect data may never be used for employment, credit, insurance, or housing eligibility decisions. Our Terms prohibit uses that would bring a search under the FCRA or California's ICRAA/CCRAA, and every account certifies to that on signup and per search.
Safety-Based Record Suppression
We maintain a documented, verified suppression process on three tracks: statutory demands under Government Code §6254.21 (judges, officers, and other protected officials), Safe at Home program participants, and documented safety requests including protective orders. Suppressed names are removed from search and blocked from future ingestion.

California Delete Act · DROP
Our commitment
interKanect indexes public government records only. We maintain a deletion and suppression pipeline for the California Delete Act (SB 362): verified deletion requests are removed from the searchable index and suppressed from all future data ingestion on the statutory schedule.
